Employee Engagement Survey

Why do an employee engagement survey with i-comment360?

Happy and engaged employees produce better results. Asking them how they feel about areas of the business gives you the information to take informed decisions. This in turn leads to increased customer satisfaction; employees show customers they care and are willing to go the extra mile. Happy customers mean more business, both repeat business and referrals, which has a positive impact on the bottom line.

Employee Engagement Survey to results flow

Engaged employees are happier people; they will stay with the business longer, reducing staff turnover and recruitment costs, and, if the business is seen as a good place to work, it will attract high quality candidates for vacancies.

So what's not to like about engagement?

But how can you tell if your employees are engaged? And how can you increase the level of engagement to bring about the benefits discussed above? An employee survey from i-comment360 can help you with both of these.

Our survey is easy to set up and can quickly be sent to all employees. We analyse the data collected and provide you with the results in a clear and understandable format. We can highlight the areas where your company is doing well in terms of engagement and the areas where there is room for improvement. Free text questions in the survey allow employees to suggest changes as they complete the survey.

The whole process, from initial contact to providing you with results, can be completed in a few weeks, allowing you to start your journey to increased engagement and reap the benefits going forward. We provide a fully managed service bringing you results with as little hassle as possible.

We can repeat the survey after six months or a year to measure the changes over time and highlight the results of any initiatives you put into place as a result of feedback received.

If you have previously used another tool for your survey, we can input previous results for comparison.

What sort of questions does the survey ask?

Our Business Pulse employee engagement survey asks 31 questions in 10 categories. Categories and questions include:

Engagement questions

The complete list of survey questions and categories can be down loaded form our Library page.

We recognise that every business is different and that some of these questions may not be appropriate for your staff. By the same token, there may be other important questions or categories that you would like to include in your survey.

The survey can easily be adapted to include the questions that you want to ask your employees, and exclude any that are not relevant. Our experienced team can guide you to the questions you need to produce the data you want and you can pick from our extensive question library.

How does it work?

Once you have decided which questions to ask and which analysis categories you require (see below), we will ask you for a list of employee names and e-mail addresses. These are uploaded into the system.

Each employee receives an e-mail containing a link to the survey and a date by which they should complete it. Clicking the link will take the employee directly into the survey to answer the questions. Questions include both range (employee picks a number on a scale) and free text responses.

Reminder e-mails are automatically sent by the system to those who have not yet completed and progress updates can be provided to you regularly.

After the survey has closed, we will analyse the data and provide you with a report showing graphical representations of the results and the free text responses.

How will my data be analysed?

You will receive a report summarising each category, showing the score for each question and giving the text responses.

We can analyse the results of your survey in three separate groups, for example:

  • By grade (e.g. team member, team manager, section manager, department head etc.)
  • By length of service (e.g. under 1 year, 1 to 2 years, 2 to 5 years, 5 to 10 years, over 10 years)
  • By location (e.g. London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow)
  • By department (e.g. sales, finance, production, customer service, management)

We can produce any other summary of the data that you need and give you an export of the information for your use.

Your report will show analysis graphs for the range questions and the responses to the free text questions. Responses are anonymous.
